A graduate from Leicestershire academy, Harry Swindells signed a professional contract with the club in 2017. He became the third player to earn a professional contract from the academy, after Will Fazakerley and Sam Evans. The all-rounder played for Narborough and Littlethorpe before he started playing Premier League cricket with Leicester Ivanhoe. Harry received his first England Under-19s call-up due to his performances for Leicestershire Second XI. The youngster had an impressive debut for England Under-19s while playing against India at the age of 18.
In Vitality Blast 2019, Harry Swindells played a couple of imposing knocks and he is more inclined towards the shortest format as compared to the longer versions. As a result of his knock of 63, Leicestershire managed to post a daunting target of 190 against Birmingham, and they won it comprehensively. Another important performance of his came against Nottinghamshire where he scored 61, but Leicestershire ended on the losing side. Swindells is only 20, so there's still a long way to go for the keeper-batsman.
