UP Warriorz vs Mumbai Indians Women, 10th Match
Mumbai Indians Women won by 8 wkts
That is all from us for today. Tomorrow, the second-placed Delhi Capitals take on bottom-placed RCB who will be very keen to record their first win in the tournament. Should be a cracker that. Do remember to join us for all the action. Cheers!!
Harmanpreet Kaur | Player of the Match: Very happy with the performance. The way we are gelling together I think this is the best tournament so far. Thanks to Nat, she played really well. Because of her I got some time to settle in and later play some shots. The way they were batting, we were a bit tense, but I knew one or two wickets could get momentum back into our favour. We were calculating how many overs were left and which bowlers to target, and that's what cricket is all about. You gotta express yourself and pick your targets. We just need to keep doing the right things.
Alyssa Healy: We were probably 16-20 short, we just couldn't finish well and probably a batter short. It wasn't an easy wicket, we couldn't find the boundary as often as we would have liked. We will see how we can be better. We will turn up in 2 days time, play RCB and move on. We want to be a really good fielding side and take opportunities. We are working really hard, trying really hard which is what we want to be as a team and hopefully the results go our way.
Nat Sciver-Brunt: It feels brilliant. The team is on a real high and we are really enjoying it. There was a little bit of seam movement early on, I was trying not to get hit for 4s and 6s. The spinners if they bowled the right pace it was a little stoppy and gripping as well. We learnt that from the first innings. It's amazing batting with her (Harmanpreet) and batting with everyone as well.
22:54 local, 17:24 GMT, 22:54 IST: A superb start in the powerplay, thanks to Yastika's free-flowing strokeplay, a slight stutter in the middle overs and then the finishing flourish at the end from two of the best finishers in the game - Nat Sciver-Brunt and Harmanpreet Kaur. They are bossing this tournament with some authority. By 143 runs, by 9 wickets, by 8 wickets and by 8 wickets today again - the victory margins for MI so far. Just goes onto show that they are playing absolutely fearless and entertaining brand of cricket.
17.3 Ismail to Nat Sciver-Brunt, SIX, banged in short once again, Nat Sciver-Brunt has smoked that flat over deep square. 4/4 for Mumbai Indians. They win by 8 wickets and continue to lead the table with a superb NRR as well...
17.2 Ismail to Nat Sciver-Brunt, FOUR, short and angled into the body, Nat Sciver-Brunt heaves powerfully and gets it for a one-bounce boundary over mid-wicket
17.2 Ismail to Nat Sciver-Brunt, no ball, full on the stumps, Nat Sciver-Brunt clears her front leg and slogs it to mid-wicket. Third front foot no ball from Shabnim Ismail...
