Player of the Match

So then, we've now got the final standings up on the points table. These two sides will face each other again in the first eliminator on Thursday. That's all we've got for you from this game but don't go too far, we've got Lahore taking on Karachi in just an hour's time. We'll see you there.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore | Peshawar Zalmi captain: From the last two games, I thought we were 60 short. But it got tougher and our bowlers learned from the first innings and bowled well. The bowlers adapted to conditions, it was holding a little bit and we were able to build pressure. I thought Mujeeb was outstanding, everyone else chipped in with wickets. It'll be a different day, we'll have to turn up in Lahore. That's the good thing about knockout cricket, we're just three wins away from lifting the trophy.

Mohammad Haris | Player of the Match: We were initially thinking of getting 220. But i realised it wasn't that sort of pitch. The ball was gripping a touch. I'm flexible about my batting position, be it one down or opening.

Shadab Khan | Islamabad United captain: We experimented in this game, we wanted to give everyone an opportunity and give players a chance who were not in form to get back into form. We wanted to win the game but it didn't happen. We thought it was definitely chaseable but we didn't play well.

17:42 Local Time, 12:42 GMT, 18:12 IST: Quite a thrilling game in the end but the United have been denied a place in the top 2 at the end of it. They would've been quite confident at the halfway stage having restricted the opposition to under 200 on a very flat deck but they botched the chase up completely. Three wickets fell in the powerplay and as the stats tell, the side that gets three wickets inside the powerplay often goes on to win the game. There simply wasn't enough from the top order, Gurbaz stitched up a nice little partnership with the skipper but they completely lost the plot after Shadab was dismissed. They seemed adamant to throw wickets away as they slipped from 111/5 to 111/8. Faheem Ashraf threatened to win the game single-handedly again towards the end as he struck some lovely shots but his antics were put to an end by a beautiful yorker from Khurram Shahzad in the final over. So we've got the playoffs locked in, it'll be a repeat of the same fixture in the first eliminator.

19.4 Khurram Shahzad to Fazalhaq Farooqi, out Bowled!! Two in two! How about that? Peshawar Zalmi wrap it up. Fires the yorker in on off, Farooqi's feet moved nowhere as he dangled his bat at it, it snuck right through and crashed into the base of off stump. Khurram Shahzad will be on a hat-trick the next time he comes out to bowl. Peshawar Zalmi win by 13 runs. Fazalhaq Farooqi b Khurram Shahzad 0(1)

19.3 Khurram Shahzad to Faheem Ashraf, out Bowled!! Oh that's the end of the drama! Nails the yorker on middle, not too much Ashraf could've done with that, he looks to go downtown again but it rushes through, gets a faint bit of bat on it's way through to the stumps. Khurram Shahzad is pumped. Ashraf walks off dejected. Faheem Ashraf b Khurram Shahzad 38(13) [4s-2 6s-4]
