Barbados Royals vs Jamaica Tallawahs, 19th Match
Jamaica Tallawahs won by 6 runs(due to rain - DLS method)
Right, so that's a crucial two points for Tallawahs as the playoff race heats up. Royals don't have much reason to panic as it's just their first loss from seven games. We'll be back with more CPL action in a few hours as it is a double header remember. Until next time, goodbye.
14:33 Local Time, 18:33 GMT, 00:03 IST: The inevitable has happened. Game has been called off. The rain refused to relent and it means that the Tallawahs have sneaked up a win on the basis of DLS method. It was a fine margin really, because if the game was halted an over earlier, they would have actually lost this game. Yes, you read that right. Despite having a racy powerplay and cruising the chase for half of the innings, a sudden implosion out of nowhere meant that the Royals were in with a sniff of snatching another win. However, they were denied in the end and it's their first loss of the season. Miller's men would rue that powerplay which arguably cost them the game although 146 was still a respectable total. Another 10-15 runs more and it could have been a different game. Credit to the Tallawahs, they were quite good with the ball and managed the chase just about with the bat.
13:58 Local Time, 17:58 GMT, 23:28 IST: Here we go again. The rains are back. The groundstaff are back with the covers. Doesn't really seem to be a heavy shower but the overhead conditions look quite overcast for now. DLS Par score is 120, so the Tallawahs are clear of that and they have their skipper to thank. That six last over looks so much significant now.
JT: 126-5 after 17 overs
16.6 Holder to Imad Wasim, 2 runs, slower ball on off, Imad works it softly through mid-wicket and they race back for the second
16.5 Holder to Powell, 1 run, very full and straight, Powell jams it out past mid-wicket
16.4 Holder to Powell, SIX, Powell has had enough! Decides to take Holder on and deposits this over the deep mid-wicket fence. Slower ball, a tad too full and the Tallawahs skipper spotted it early, delaying the heave to put it away
16.3 Holder to Imad Wasim, 1 run, fuller and on off, Imad works it away down to long-on
16.2 Holder to Imad Wasim, no run, down the track comes Imad first ball, tries to drill this past mid-off but can't beat the fielder
Imad Wasim, left handed bat, comes to the crease
16.1 Holder to Fabian Allen, out Bowled!! And that self-dug hole has now gotten bigger! Officially looks like a choke now and Tallawahs need to wake up from their slumber soon. Holder has his third. Stump-to-stump line, hard length and Allen gets a bottom-edge onto the stumps. From out of nowhere, the Royals are having a sniff at winning this game. Incredible scenes! Fabian Allen b Holder 1(10)
Holder to Fabian Allen, THATS OUT!! Bowled!!
Jason Holder [3.0-0-23-2] is back into the attack
Only 6 off the last 18 balls and Tallawahs look like they are digging a small hole here.

15.4 Bishop to Powell, no run, four dots in a row! Whoa! Bishop is putting a big squeeze on here. Flat and skiddy, Powell punches it to cover
