Player of the Match

That's all from the first game. We have another coming up in just under an hour. Switch tabs and join us there. Goodbye..

Mashrafe Mortaza: It was tough. One of the best matches in this tournament. Amir is a champion and he delivered his best. Four overs, 42 runs is not a big task and most times the batting team wins but like I said Amir was brilliant. Rejaur and Sakib having been playing all three formats for the last 2-3 years, they have pace and are great assets for Bangladesh.

Najmul Shanto | Player of the Match: At the end of the day we won and that's the important part. I just assessed the wicket and didn't think about us losing three early wickets. Initially we thought 145 is a good score for our bowling attack but later we thought we can get more.

Shakib Al Hasan: In a tight game like this you can look at so many things. The difference was in the fielding, if you see their ground fielding to our ground fielding, that's where we lost the game. I was looking to do that (bring a pacer) but with two left handers (Shanto and Moores) in the middle I went with the offspinner. There's never a right decision or wrong decision in the middle, only after you finish the game you can analyse if it is right or wrong.

17:18 Local Time, 11:18 GMT, 16:48 IST: What a game! This what you get when the top two teams clash against each other. The pendulum kept shifting from one team to the other and in the end it is the Sylhet Sixers who come out victorious. Saif Hassan got Barishal off to a quick start, Shakib carried that momentum forward but two wickets in the 14th over from Rejaur changed the course of the chase. Karim Janat shifted the momentum with a hat-trick of sixes but Amir pulled it back for Sylhet, he bowled his last two overs for 9 runs and 2 wickets. That was a game-changer and Rejaur held his nerve in the final over to defend 15 runs. With this win the Sixers remain top of the table and are two points clear of second placed Barishal. Presentations coming up..

BRSAL: 171-8 after 20 overs

19.6 Rejaur Rahman Raja to Mohammad Wasim Jr, FOUR, Sylhet Sixers win by 2 runs. Rejaur has held his nerve and not given a six off the last ball. Short and angled down leg, Wasim gets inside the line and helps it along the way to fine leg

7 off 1 and a six will take it to the Super Over. Mortaza having a word with Rejaur. Here we go..

19.5 Rejaur Rahman Raja to Mohammad Wasim Jr, SIX, wow! This game is not done yet. Rejaur misses the yorker and dishes out a length ball, Wasim stays deep in the crease and lofts it way over long-on

19.4 Rejaur Rahman Raja to Mohammad Wasim Jr, no run, good length ball outside off, Wasim moves across and misses the lap, struck on the pad. 13 off 2

19.3 Rejaur Rahman Raja to Kamrul, 1 run, short of length around off, Kamrul slices it in front of deep extra cover and the ball lands safely, just a single

Kamrul Islam, right handed bat, comes to the crease

19.2Rejaur Rahman Raja to Mohammad Wasim Jr, out Mehidy Hasan Miraz Run Out!! Brilliant work by Rahim. Mehidy wanted the strike and perishes in the process. Rejaur hits the hard length and beats Wasim on the cross-batted swing, Mehidy races to the other end and puts in the dive but Rahim hits the bullseye to catch him short of the crease. Mehidy Hasan Miraz run out (Mushfiqur) 7(4) [6s-1]

Rejaur Rahman Raja to Mohammad Wasim Jr, THATS OUT!! Run Out!!

Mohammad Wasim Jr, right handed bat, comes to the crease

19.1 Rejaur Rahman Raja to Iftikhar Ahmed, out Caught by (sub)Ackermann!! Is that the game? Barishal's dugout certainly think so as the celebrations are wild. Rejaur hits the hard length and gets it to bounce, Iftikhar wanted to go down town but gets it high on the bat and splices it towards long-off, Ackermann runs in and takes a calm catch. Rejaur has made a telling blow. Iftikhar Ahmed c (sub)Ackermann b Rejaur Rahman Raja 17(13) [4s-1 6s-1]

Rejaur Rahman Raja to Iftikhar Ahmed, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

19.1 Rejaur Rahman Raja to Iftikhar Ahmed, wide, full and outside off, Iftikhar walks across and lets it pass. 14 off 6

BRSAL: 159-6 after 19 overs

18.6 Amir to Mehidy Hasan Miraz, no run, dot to end. Slower short ball, Mehidy pulls early and the ball lobs over his top-edge. Another brilliant over under pressure from Amir. His last two overs figures read - 2-0-9-2
