Player of the Match

That's all from us. We have another double header coming up tomorrow. Do join us for that. Until then, goodbye and stay safe..

Najibullah Zadran | Player of the Match: Last over 20 runs is not easy. Russell is an experienced bowler but we (DJ and himself) spoke and told ourselves we can do it. I wait for the ball, back myself and stay calm during that time. DJ told me we can do it (win) with a single but the field was up and I told him I would take it on. I want to dedicate this award to my mother.

Kieron Pollard: That is the nature of T20 cricket. That is what fans and viewers want to see, a close game. Obviously DJ was there, he's an experienced campaigner and we know what Najibullah can do, so my money was on my team (at the start of the last over). It was a good game. We weren't at our best with the ball, we tried to get wickets rather than trying to contain them but that's why you have two innings and our batters bailed us out. We can do better as a bowling and fielding team. You have to improve every time you get a chance and that is the chat we have in the dressing room.

Sunil Narine: It is a bit tough (to take). That's how cricket goes, swallow the hard pill and we move on quickly. That was a good total on that pitch and our bowlers tried their best. In close games like this you try to pinpoint too many things. We could have fielded better and should have finished better with the bat. We have to get a few things in order. We have to take it one game at a time and take it from there.

21:51 Local Time, 17:51 GMT, 23:21 IST: What a game! A proper humdinger and it is Abu Dhabi Knight Riders who ended up on the losing side, making it five defeats in a row. They lost the game in the last five overs with bat and ball; scored only 45 while batting and could not defend 63 when bowling. Waseem and Smeed departed early, but Fletcher and Pooran steadied the innings with a 50+ stand. But timely wickets in the middle overs pegged them back and left Pollard and Co. needing more than 12 rpo. The skipper started the fireworks when he took on Hosein and the pair of Najibullah and Bravo finished it off. They needed 20 off the final over and Russell could not defend that. This win makes it three out of three for Emirates and they're tied on points with the Desert Vipers and Gulf Giants. Presentations coming up..

MIAE: 176-5 after 20 overs

19.6 Russell to Najibullah, SIX, MI Emirates win by 5 wickets. Russell is down on his haunches. The Emirates dugout is jubilant. Najibullah and Bravo have started the celebration in the middle. Short and wide delivery, Najibullah slashes the upper cut and sends it sailing over third man

Narine and Russell having a chat. Can they turn this into a Super Over? The two batters also have a quick chat. Lewis has removed his glove. Here we go..

19.5 Russell to Najibullah, SIX, wow! Najibullah, you beauty. Russell is left with his hands on his head. Under pressure Najibullah has struck a massive blow. Slower short of length delivery and Najibullah nails the pull way back over deep square leg. 1 off 1

19.4 Russell to Dwayne Bravo, 1 run, finally nails the yorker on off, Bravo jams it to backward point and it is only a single. 7 off 2

Back over the wicket

19.3 Russell to Dwayne Bravo, FOUR, Bravo is nailing 'em. Russell feeds it right in the slot, Bravo clears his front leg and smokes it straight back over Russell, one bounce and over the ropes. 8 off 3

19.2 Russell to Dwayne Bravo, 2 runs, low full toss around off, Bravo swings hard and gets a toe-end to the left of Lewis, the pair scamper back. 12 off 4

19.1 Russell to Dwayne Bravo, SIX, oh my! First ball and Bravo has deposited it onto the grass banks. Full delivery angled across, he didn't get far enough outside off and Bravo was able to heave it across the line, clears deep mid-wicket with ease. 14 off 5

Andre Russell [3.0-0-32-1] is back into the attack

20 off the last over. Russell is the only bowler left with an over. And it is going to be him to bowl the final over. There's enough runs in the bank. But in T20 you can never say how much is enough. Russell is coming round the wicket. Here we go..

MIAE: 151-5 after 19 overs

18.6 Narine to Najibullah, no run, speared into the blockhole, Najibullah fails to lay bat on the squeeze and it is a dot to finish

18.5 Narine to Najibullah, SIX, much needed six for the Emirates. Width on offer and Najibullah goes bang over long-off. The bottom hand comes off but he got plenty of wood as the ball sails over comfortably

18.4 Narine to Dwayne Bravo, 1 run, fraction short and spinning in, Bravo pulls it to wide long-on and it is only a single

18.3 Narine to Najibullah, 1 run, fuller and in the slot, Najibullah heaves it on the bounce to long-on

18.2 Narine to Dwayne Bravo, 1 run, quicker and spinning, Bravo goes for the reverse slap and gets it off the glove to point. Narine thought it was pad first and Lewis wasn't sure, they tried their luck with DRS and lost a review
