Player of the Match

It was a proper party in Durban today. Fantastic crowd, lovely game. That's curtains for today. Tomorrow Eastern Cape and Cape Town lock horns in the evening. Join us for the fun. See you!

Quinton de Kock | Durban Super Giants captain: Quite happy about that result. I think the momentum from our batting, we just had to keep the pressure on them with the ball. We felt pretty comfortable because anything can happen on this pitch. Morgan and Vilas batted really well. That was a big turning point for us (Morgan's runout). Exciting and tiring at the same time (about games coming quickly in the tournament).

Heinrich Klaasen | PoTM: We spoke about getting Keemo in to get some momentum. It's the first time in a while I've hit a 19-ball fifty in Durban, so gives me a lot of confidence. We haven't seen such a crowd in Kingsmead for a while, so it was nice to see.

David Miller | Paarl Royals captain: We thought it was going to be slow but it stayed a nice wicket. Morgs and Dane Vilas showed us how a partnership is really key. I just think we were slightly off but we had our plans. Credit to Klaasen and Durban for putting us under pressure. We were up for the fight, but had a momentum swing at the back end.

17:16 Local Time, 15:16 GMT, 20:46 IST: Home crowd very happy with the result. The Royals ran the Super Giants close and how crucial were those four sixes off the last over in Durban's batting effort? The chase didn't go according to play for the Royals, but Morgan and Vilas turned it around brilliantly with a 114-run stand. If not for the Morgan runout, things could have been different in the chase as Durban were struggling to stem the run flow. Topley and Pretorius shared five wickets between them to put the brakes in crucial times.

18.3 Topley to Dane Vilas, out Caught by (sub)Junior Dala at backward square leg!! Is that another waist high no ball? Full toss, Vilas swings and hits it to deep backward square leg. Catch taken, credit to Junior Dala for quickly releasing the throw in case it's a no ball and on the replay, it seems it dipped just enough for it to be legal. Dane Vilas though seems surprised. This should be the game for Durban. Dane Vilas c (sub)Junior Dala b Topley 44(30) [4s-3 6s-2]
