That's all from today's BBL clash folks! You can switch tabs and follow the live coverage of other ongoing games. Ciao for now!

Hatcher, Player of the Match: It was nice to get those big guys at the top. It was a nice wicket to bowl on. There was some moisture underneath, so we bowled a few cross seams and it got a little bit of nibble. It's a lot easier on the body as compared to Shield cricket where you got to bowl around 20 overs in a day. One down, four to go. Hopefully we can win the reverse derby.

22:02 Local Time, 11:02 GMT, 16:32 IST: Melbourne Stars have registered a clinical win against the Adelaide Strikers, here at the MCG! They are not placed last in the points table anymore due to this victory. Earlier in the day, Matthew Short got the Strikers off to a fantastic start as he scored 20 runs in the first over of the match. However, the Stars pulled things back drastically after the first over. They kept taking wickets at regular intervals, never let the opposition off the hook as the Strikers were restricted to a mediocre total of 108. This kind of target was never going to challenge the hosts and the openers made sure they didn't allow the Strikers bounce back in the game. Joe Clarke was run-out by Gibson in the 10th over, but the damage was already done by then. In the end, the Stars got home comfortably by 9 wickets and 33 balls to spare.

14.3 Ben Manenti to Cartwright, FOUR, Cartwright hits the winning runs! A short ball by Ben Manenti, and Cartwright rocks back in the crease to pull this through mid-wicket for a boundary to finish things off in style

14.2 Ben Manenti to Cartwright, no run, spinning into the batter around middle and leg, Cartwright gets hit on the thigh pad

14.1 Ben Manenti to Thomas Rogers, 1 run, worked through square leg by Thomas Rogers for a single

Ben Manenti [2.0-0-11-0] is back into the attack

MLS: 104-1 after 14 overs

13.6 Thornton to Cartwright, no run, short of a length outside off, keeps a touch low, Cartwright swings across the line and misses

13.5 Thornton to Cartwright, FOUR, stand and deliver! Rocks back and hammers this towards wide long-on with a pull shot. Lands just in front of the cushions as the Stars are only 5 runs away from an emphatic win

13.4 Thornton to Cartwright, no run, short and quick around off, Cartwright chops it towards backward point

13.3 Thornton to Thomas Rogers, 1 run, fifty for Thomas Rogers! Short of a length around middle and leg, Thomas Rogers nudges this through square leg for a single and that also brings up the 100 for the Stars

13.2 Thornton to Thomas Rogers, FOUR, pitched up by Thornton around off and Thomas Rogers has thumped this over wide mid-off for four runs. Just a run away from his fifty now

13.1 Thornton to Thomas Rogers, no run, full and quick around off, Thomas Rogers drives this to wide mid-off
